Chicago Bears and the Super Bowl Shuffle

Chicago Bears: Super Bowl Shuffle (Aniv Coll)Bald Man was flipping throught the channels tonight, and kept going back to the Bears/Seahawks game. As a kid who grew up in Illinois in the 1980’s, I really can’t see or hear anything about the Chicago Bears without thinking of the Super Bowl Shuffle.

Crazy little song and video, wasn’t it? And even more strange to be reminded that it was nominated for a Grammy for Best Rhythym and Blues Vocal Performance.

I also have to think of Walter Payton, and of the tears in my Dad’s eyes when Payton retired. I didn’t often see my Dad cry, and he claimed to be eating “onion sandwiches”, but I’ll never forget that, either.

Da Bears, they’ve provided me with some pretty good memories.
