So, I’m not sure if this is really a “Best of the Worst” like the past posts in this category, or just the worst. I’m thinking the latter.

The 80’s brought out some weird videos, this one by The Cars most definitely among them. But I do have to watch it all the way through, anyway. It’s a fun one!
Gotta love the Ray Ban-style glasses. And, is it just me, or does the lead singer (Ric Ocasek) look a lot like Richard Belzer in this video? Him, or Dana Carvey with a dye job? Or I’m just losing it, and that’s a good guess, too.

So, I was talking to my friend Jackie the other day. Okay, I must have my finger on the pulse of the American culture, or something like that. I’d just written the title of this post when Terry Moran (I really like him) came on Nightline talking about action heroes coming back to relive their roles of decades past. Weird.

Did you know that there was a spin-off of Who’s the Boss? called Living Dolls? I don’t remember this at all, but it was apparently launched off of a Who’s the Boss? episode entitled, “Living Dolls”.
The short-lived program starred Micheal Learned, Leah Remini (who appeared in the WTB episode) and Halle Berry (who did not appear in the WTB episode).

I’m sitting here watching King of Queens, and it’s the episode where Doug’s (Kevin James) friend Spence (Patton Oswalt) becomes the houseboy for Doug’s other friend, Deacon (Victor Williams). And, all of the sudden, they do a bit where Spence is very Mr. Belevedere-like and play they theme song to the show. Very fun for me.
I was sad to hear that King of Queens will be ending this May. It’s had a good run, and has cracked me up for years. In a world dominated by reality shows, though, the sitcom seems to be …read more
