Blair Underwood, Christine, and SVU
I can’t remember the first time I saw Blair Underwood in something, but I’m sure it must’ve been in the 80’s. Based on his IMDB listings, it was probably in The Cosby Show as Denise’s (Lisa Bonet) friend.
It’s been fun to see him back on TV recently in episodes of The New Adventures of Old Christine as the object of a huge crush of Christine’s (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), the older more mature older Christine. And then, in the same week (maybe it was the same night?) that he was very worthily playing the object of said crush, he shows up on an epidsode of Law and Order: SVU in what ended up being a very creepy and disturbing ending for his character.

He played Miranda’s hot love interest for a while.
Oohh…I’ve caught up with a few of them on the CW. No cable, so I missed it all the first time around! But I do remember seeing him in one episode. What a cutie, yeah?

Anyway, I was all motivated to get back on the step last night while preoccupying my mind with some mindless drivel on TV. And, what was on? Nothing but the State of the Union Address, which, I’m sure, some of you would count as mindless drivel. HOWEVER, it is not the type of mindless drivel that allows you to get caught up in a story or something and forget that you really don’t want to be doing what you’re doing and OH MY GOSH how LONG are these 30 minutes going to last? I know, I know, 30 minutes last approximately (or exactly) 30 minutes long no matter what you’re watching. But, trust me, 30 minutes of stair stepping to POTUS reading his speech lasts a lot longer than 30 minutes of, say, The New Adventures of Old Christine or American Idol or, well, almost anything else. And since you already know we don’t have cable, you know that my options were few. [...]
