Queen on my iTunes

The Game (+ Bonus Track)Queen’s The Game album is quite possibly my first memory of any album ever.

We were living in Germany (Air Force brats) and my brother got a turntable and The Game for Christmas. I thought he was 8 or 9 years old, but since it’s release date was in 1980, he must have just turned 10.

Anyway, like most of my big bro’s favorite music, I was subjected to listening to this album non-stop. Apparently, this brainwashing was performed during a very impressionable period of my brain’s development (My brain is, too, developed! Hush now and let me finish my story.), because I still have the entire album pretty much memorized word for word.

I did end up liking it enough that I bought it on CD when I was in college, and it is now part of my iTunes library. The funny thing is that, while I’m listening to it and singing it, I still expect it to skip in the same part of the album where my brother’s record had a scratch.

Def Leppard, Pyromania. Jason had it on in the car nonstop.

Why do they feel the need to do that? I don’t remember brainwashing my sister with my music.  Of course, maybe her memory is different. :D

This is so funny, and I remember this so well. If you want the album just go to Mom’s house. I believe it’s still there in the upstairs office closet. And I remember that scratch so well! “Steve walks wearily down the streeeeeccccchhhhhh no sound but the sound of his feet!”

Doug: Your welcome for the link. I thought you’d enjoy that. I’ll have to go look for that album, once mom and Kel are done with all of the remodeling and I can find my way through!
