The 80s Club

I was flipping through the channels the other night and passed by a “made for TV” production of something to do with the TV show, Diff’rent Strokes. I loved, loved, loved that show! However, this new production was so unappealing that I only allowed it a few minutes of my life.

Okay, so Joey Lawrence wasn’t a hunk yet when he was on Gimme a Break, just a cute kid with a mushroom cut. But who knew then that almost 20 years later he would end up competing against A.C. Slater (Mario Lopez to you younguns) in Dancing with the Stars? Craziness.
And what happened to Joey’s awesome hair? Whoa.

Am I the only one noticing the Flashdance inspired shirt making a comeback? Crazy.
Did we learn nothing from our fashion mistakes of the 80’s? Of course, the college freshman I recently spotted sporting this fashion wasn’t yet conceived when this style was born.
Yikes! I’m starting to sound like one of those old fogies.

I totally want this!!!! I was looking for something else, and came across this video at Amazon. A-ha, the Cars, The B-52’s, Devo, INXS and The Georgia Satellites! Man, I used to turn up “Keep Your Hands to Yourself” as loud as I could on my boombox and belt it out!!! Did they have any other songs?
