Early Van Halen fans will be familiar with Roth, and most people in the 80s were probably at least somewhat aware of the intense split between Roth and Van Halen. The last album he recorded with the group was 1984.
1984 is one of only two Van Halen albums that have sold over 10 million copies in the United States and it is considered a milestone in rock history. “Jump” was one of the biggest songs of 1984 and was on the ten most songs played on the radio that year.
