Never too late for E.T.

ET Honestly (for some reason) my parents failed to take me to the movies to watch E.T. during the film’s debut in 1982. While I was then only 9 and hence was too young to go to the movies alone, my family spent most of the 80s in the boondocks.

I remember wearing E.T. printed shirts though, while my more “civilized” classmates did nothing but brag about E.T.-this and E.T.-that in most of their conversations. (Okay, so it was a crime missing the most important movie of the decade.)

In 2000, E.T. was digitally enhanced and was re-shown in theaters (here too in the Philippines). For reasons I cannot remember, I failed to watch it again. Finally in 2002 (I was heavily pregnant), at last I caught it on Star Movies Channel and cried like a baby!
